Recycling of Incinerated Ash of Wastes
Recycling of Slag from incinerated Wastes
  • Melt Slag: What is it?

  •  Melt Slag is a consolidated material made from incinerated waste melting the ash by heat energy from generated heat and cooled to form a glass like material.

    Melt Slag
  • Standards of Melt Slag

  • Treatment of Melt Slag
  •   On 1998/3/26 The Ministry of Health and Welfare and Environment Agency issued a letter to prefectures and designated cities concerning the treatment of melt slag.
Concerning the Enhancement of the utilizationo consolidated Melt Slag of ordinary wastes (Ministry of Health and Welfare) Recycling uses as following are to be considered.
    (1) as basecourse materials (subground material)
    (2) as aggregates for concrete and asphalt mixture
    (3) as re-fill materials
    (4) as materilas for ready made concrete parts (paving blocks, porous blocks)
Concerning the treatment of ordinary consolidated melt slag (Envilonment Agency)
Utilization as landfill is to be considered. Consolidated melt slag is considered as ordinary wastes which is processed so as to protect public waters and ground water from contamination.
  • We support the Recycling use!
  •   Concerning the treatment of melt slags, there are two methods including recycling use and landfill. The availability of use for recycling is unlimited and the one of landfill is limited. Melt slags are resources produced with many a effort and money. Let them be used effectively. We WatanabeSato support the use of melst slag with our best.

On next page, An Example of application as aggregate for asphalt mixture is introduced.
