Thermo-Hardening Asphalt Mixture
W-Epox
What is W-Epox?
W-Epox is a mixture which was developed for the use at where severe rutting not able to resist by ordinary high viscosity modified asphalt mixture, for use at where severe corrugation is seen (plastic flow), for use at roads in snowy cold areas to protect raveling and for the use on bridges where deformation and vibration are estimated. A combined binder of straight asphalt and flexible epoxy resin is used.
Merits are;
  1. Excellent at rutting resistance.
  2. Excellent at raveling resistance.
  3. Excellent at flexibility. It accommodate the deformation of surfaces and cracks are hard to be generated.
  4. Excellent at durability because the binder is hardly effected by temperature and the change of climate.
Where to use? See the table below.
