Freezing Restraint Pavement
(containing de-icing agent)
NF-Top Type I
What is NF-Top Type I?

For the purpose of protection or retarding the freezing in snowy cold areas, generally calcium chloride is sprayed on road surface. NF-Top Type I is an asphalt mixture which contains freezing retarder.
Functions
  1. When water infiltrate into the voids of mixture, the chlorides such as calcium chloride are solved and seeped out.
  2. The effect is equivalent to that of calcium chlorides being sprayed on road surface.

Where to use?
To roads areas, parking lots, plaza and so on in snowy cold.

The Freezing Retarder
Grains or finer grains composed of mainly calcium chloride, natrium chloride and calcium carbonate.
