In tunnels

    Seemingly, in cases of long tunnels, considering the lighting effect and durability, light colored cement concrete pavements and semi-rigid pavements are selected and for shorter tunnels, the same kind of pavements as approaches are selected.

    Here are discussed on the mixture that shows light coloring effect. In order to attain light coloring effect, white colored aggregates (natural aggregates and artificial aggregates are there), decolorized binders (high viscosity modified type is also available), white pigment are used by single or combination of those. Hereunder are introduced typical examples that we WatanabeSato constructed.

Besides abrasion resistance is excellent. The cost is higher but the durability compensate it decreasing traffic closure for repairing.
