The Raveling of asphalt pavement occurs prominently in snowy cold areas by tire chains of vehicles in winter snowy season. As asphalt mixtures for these areas, Raveling resistant mixtures that contain more fines with rich asphalt content are used. However, at where considerably large traffic are present, often the problem of rutting occurs. The measures for Raveling prevention prevalent recent days are that to use asphalt mixtures for ordinary areas adding a little more asphalt content, to use modified asphalt or to use special kind of mixtures.
